We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Communications Executive to join our Sales and Marketing team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced communications or PR professional who enjoys working with media, crafting clear stories from complex topics, and collaborating with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, professional environment.
This is a permanent position, based out of our London office with hybrid working.
Key responsibilities
As Senior Communications Executive, you will play a key role in raising and safeguarding Osborne Clarke’s profile. Reporting to the Corporate PR Manager, you will:
- Deliver day-to-day media outreach activity in line with the firm's communications strategy and priorities, including tasks such as identifying and developing story angles, preparing media materials, approaching targeted journalists, following up on pitches and coordinating interviews and commentary opportunities
- Build and maintain targeted media lists and coordinate logistics for interviews and briefings
- Build and maintain an active register of media engagements
- Support awards, rankings submissions, bids and other materials
- Support on drafting thought leadership and commentary aligned to firm messaging
- Participate in handling reputational issues to limit media coverage and ensure key message penetration
- Ensure media and social media approach are aligned
- Design and maintain effective media reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with Sales & Marketing and BD functions to ensure that media coverage enhances and supports the firm's go-to-market strategy
- Other duties as required
What we’re looking for
Core skills:
- Experience with media relations and/or corporate communications in a professional services, legal or corporate environment
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for different audiences
- Confident working with journalists andsenior internal stakeholders
- Able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines, with good stakeholder management skills
Technical:
- Proven track record of implementing corporate PR or communications campaigns and producing high-quality content
- Competent with social media platforms (especially LinkedIn) and interested in using digital tools, including AI, to improve outputs
- Good understanding of the media landscape and how to secure coverage
