"They have some very good lawyers. They are very smart, very business-focused and very aware"- Chambers & Partners
We are looking for an Associate to join our highly regarded Real Estate Disputes & Risk team in London.
This is a great opportunity to join a team who are seeing significant growth in work and a chance to build relationships with some fantastic clients whilst working in a collaborative team environment. You will be joining a successful firm with a collegiate and supportive culture, which makes it a rewarding place to work.

The practice also provides advice on risk mitigation and management in the context of potential disputes and property related regulation.

The role
This role will primarily be supporting the Partners and senior fee earners within the London team, across a variety of areas, including residential, commercial landlord and tenant disputes and development/land rights issues.
The wider team
Led by Leona Briggs who is rated in both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500, the wider Real Estate Disputes team spans the Bristol and London offices and comprises 5 Partners, 2 Legal Directors, 8 Associate Directors, 9 Senior Associates, 7 Associates, 3 Trainee Solicitors, 2 Solicitor Apprentices, 9 Paralegals and a Legal Manager.
Technical skills and experience
Due to the technical nature of the practice, we are looking for candidates who have worked within a recognised and respected Real Estate Litigation team and have a good track record in proactively managing a varied caseload. You will be able to demonstrate excellent client service and proactive case management. You will also have strong technical legal skills together with an enthusiasm for getting to know a client's sector. You will also need to embrace collaborative team working as well as working on your own matters. Finally, evidence of having supervised more junior team members would also be an advantage.
As a guide, due to the nature of the work and the structure of the team, we are looking to appoint an Associate in this area, although we will consider candidates with more or less experience.
Your career development
Like all our lawyers, you will benefit from our multi-award winning career development programme. At each stage of your career this provides you with:
• clear expectations of your role and what it takes to progress;
• high quality clients and work, with early responsibility and client exposure;
• thorough assessment and individual feedback from a range of experienced colleagues;
• robust technical training with early skills based development, increasingly tailored to you; and
• reward for your contribution, progression and potential, rather than PQE or tenure.
Salary and benefits
We offer competitive salaries and generous benefits.
