Due to client expansion, we have a new opportunity for an experienced Residential Conveyancer / Conveyancing Executive / Chartered Legal Executive to join our Real Estate team in Bristol on a permanent basis. We will also consider applicants wanting to be based in our Reading office.
This is a diverse and varied role, working across all areas of conveyancing for some of the UK's leading housebuilders and the firm's biggest clients. It is an exciting position for an experienced conveyancer who enjoys working for ambitious clients in a supportive environment.
You will cultivate strong working relationships with your clients, acting for them on the sale of their new build homes, buying in properties through part exchange, the resale of those properties, and carrying out a wide range of conveyancing services. There is scope to develop in the role, taking on more complex matters with training and support.
Our clients include Barratt Redrow Homes, Bloor Homes, Vistry Partnership and Cotswold Homes.
The Team
You will be a part of the Plots team, which sits within Real Estate and works closely with other areas of the business. This sociable team is based both in Bristol and Reading and consists of 17 conveyancers with various levels of experience, and 8 administrative assistants.
The team and department have a strong focus on training and development, for those who enjoy increasing their knowledge and skillset. You will be supported by a day-to-day pastoral line manager and a technical legal manager.
Alongside conveyancing, the team gets involved in site set up matters, section agreements, compliance certificates and deeds of variation.

Technical Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have experience as a Residential Property Conveyancer or Plots Sales Conveyancer. The ability to undertake title investigation of purchased properties is desirable but not essential.
You will also have:
- The ability to grow and maintain strong client relationships.
- Managed your own caseload with minimal supervision.
- Experience working to tight deadlines, while keeping great attention to detail.
- The ability to sometimes deal with high volumes of work without compromising on service.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient IT skills with the ability to produce own work and use case management systems.
- A good level of commercial awareness; keeping up-to-date and applying changes and developments in this area of law.
