Role profile

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Advisor to join our highly regarded Immigration team. This is a permanent, full-time role based in either our London or Bristol office, with occasional travel to our other UK offices potentially required in the future.

The Practice

Our immigration team advises both companies and individuals on setting up, trading, and remaining in the UK. We work with a diverse range of commercial clients, including start-up businesses and multinational PLCs, with a strong focus on inward investment.

We handle everything from securing employer sponsorship licences to negotiating with immigration authorities on complex and time-critical issues. For smaller clients, we often take charge of devising and executing their global recruitment strategies.

With immigration rules constantly changing, we are committed to providing the most up-to-date advice, coupled with clear and practical solutions.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated, committed, and reliable Advisor to support our Immigration team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing applications to meet Home Office requirements, including drafting application forms, gathering supporting documents, and writing letters of representation
  • Preparing visa application forms and supporting documents
  • Preparing application bundles
  • Sense-checking and proofreading application documents
  • Conducting legal research and preparing advice notes for a variety of clients
  • Ensuring compliance with file management
  • Maintaining accurate time recording

The Candidate

We are looking for an individual with previous equivalent experience in corporate/commercial immigration work, focusing on Tier 1, Tier 2, and Sponsor Licence applications.

You will:

  • Have a clear understanding and application of Immigration Laws
  • Be committed to providing excellent client service
  • Possess excellent analytical and organisational skills and the ability to use your initiative, while knowing when to seek guidance
  • Be accurate and demonstrate good attention to detail
  • Have a professional, proactive approach and strong client care skills
  • Be proactive and diligent
  • Be organised
  • Be a team player

Team

You will support a range of fee-earners in the UK Immigration and Employment team and engage closely with colleagues across the wider firm. You will report to our London-based Head of Immigration, Gavin Jones.
