We have a brilliant opportunity for someone to join us as
our Sustainability & Reporting Senior Manager on a 12 month fixed term
contract. This role can be based out of our Bristol or London office, on a
hybrid working basis.
The main purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of
Osborne Clarke UK's sustainability strategy, including initiatives to support
employee engagement and upskilling, supplier engagement and reporting
requirements. You'll also work across the Responsible Business team to plan and
deliver the annual responsible business report and other key reporting and
benchmarking projects.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the firm's established Carbon Literacy programme and
support learners to translate their knowledge into action. Develop the broader
climate upskilling plan to meet the needs of the business.
- Support the OC Planet employee network to plan and deliver a
programme of activity and achieve its strategy and policy goals.
- Line Manage the ESG Data Analyst to build their capability,
and work closely with them to understand the trends and drivers in OC's
environmental performance and use this knowledge to deliver change.
- Work with the Communications team to plan and deliver
internal sustainability messaging, and raise OC's profile as a responsible
business through external sustainability communications and social media.
- Lead the net zero supplier engagement programme, supporting
business owners to have climate conversations and developing own relationships
with key supply chain partners.
- Work with Risk and Compliance and Workplace Services teams
to ensure the continual improvement of the firm's environmental management
system and its integration with other business processes.
- Identify opportunities to develop OC's sustainability
strategy and integrate it with other responsible business programmes, such as
our CSR strategy for charitable giving, employee volunteering and pro bono
work.
- Lead on compliance with reporting obligations, including the
annual responsible business report, pay gap report and benchmarking submissions
as required by the business.
- Contribute to or lead other sustainability projects as
required, acting as subject matter expert for sustainability and its
relationship to the responsible business strategy.
Who we're looking for
This is a senior role within the team, and we are looking
for someone with demonstrable knowledge and experience of developing and
delivering corporate sustainability and carbon reduction strategies, who is
also comfortable working operationally to engage with colleagues and supply
chains.
We'll also be looking for someone to demonstrate:
- Experience of corporate sustainability reporting. Awareness
of Science Based Targets initiative, Greenhouse Gas Protocol and reporting
frameworks such as CDP.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to interact with people
at all levels, support more junior colleagues and provide appropriate challenge
to more senior colleagues when required.
- Engaging facilitation skills, able to deliver interactive
sessions with audiences at all levels of the firm in an involving and impactful
way.
- Proactive, adaptable, able to work on own initiative as well
as in collaborative scenarios.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise
workload when under pressure.
