We have a great opportunity for a Billings Controller to
join our Finance team on a fixed term contract. Reporting to the Revenue
Control Manager you will undertake all aspects of revenue control Billing for
all practice groups in accordance with established operational processes and
policies. This is an exciting time to join the Finance department as we move to
our new Practice Management System, Elite 3E.
This role is on a 12 month fixed term contract, based out
of our new office in Bristol working on a hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities
The Billings Controller will deal with billing aspects such
as, rate maintenance, bill production and bill cancellations for all practice
groups. As well as resolving queries across all Osborne Clarke International
offices and processing some disbursements, producing draft and copy bills.
- Deal with and resolve client queries and find solutions for
billing problems
- Possible assistance with e-billing queries and solutions
- Develop and document billing procedures.
- Deal with International queries
- Assist with the maintenance of rates
- Follow up unbilled WIP and disbursements with Fee Earners
- Maintain accurate information held within Elite
You will share responsibility for the following
(non-exhaustive) list of tasks for your all practice groups:
- Producing bills
- Processing credit notes, bill cancellations and write-offs
- Answering customer queries
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who has strong collaboration
skills and who enjoys working as part of a team. You'll need to have experience
working within a Revenue Control environment and demonstrate the ability to handle
large volumes of work whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. We are also
looking for:
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to ensure
that any issues are addressed promptly, professionally, openly and
constructively
- Someone who is self-motivated who can adhere to set policy
and procedures
- Strong communication skills; able to interact appropriately
and constructively with customers and colleagues
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and to identify
and act on issues which need to be escalated
- Ability to assist with the design and implementation of
policies and processes
- Good organisational, time management and prioritisation
skills
- A hard working and flexible working manner
- Good IT skills with the confidence to learn new technology
and systems
- Ability to work under pressure whilst paying attention to detail
