Our
Brand and Communications team have a great opportunity for someone to join them
as a Digital Channels Executive (Website), on a 12 month FTC. The role will be
full time, based out of our Bristol office on a hybrid working basis.
Working
with a highly professional, dedicated and innovative team, the main purpose of
this role is to support the wider Marketing and BD teams in the development of
our digital channels output, specifically our website. This will be a busy and
important role within Osborne Clarke. It will shape the successful candidate's
technical and strategic skills and enable them to gain key experience in
working with senior stakeholders as a technical expert.
Key
responsibilities
- Working with the Digital Channels Manager on a range of web
development projects (e.g. navigation, design, new section build), providing
input and support at all stages – from briefing, testing and deployment.
- Building new website sections in consultation with the
Digital Channels Manager and teams across the business
- Collating briefs on design and functionality changes, inline
with brand standards
- Working with our external digital agency to coordinate
development projects and regular support and maintenance, ensuring value from
the retainer agreement
- Managing the website support process – monitoring user
issues, escalating to the developers, testing fixes and development.
- Being the main point of contact for internal CMS users – an
approachable technical expert, who can also set the standard for quality
control and consistency
- Supporting, training and advising UK and international
offices
- Preparing reports in analytics, sharing and interpreting
data to inform the business and effect change to support the firm strategy
- Provide additional support and cover across the Digital
Channels team on social media, video and podcast production.
Who
we're looking for
The ideal candidate
will have web experience gained in a similar role and have demonstrative
experience using Content Management Systems. You'll also need to be confident
in working with digital technology, bringing a spirit of adaptability and
curiosity to learning new skills and ways of working. You'll also need to
demonstrate:
- Experience working on a wide variety of
communications projects
- The ability to work independently with senior
business stakeholders, able to develop effective relationships at all levels.
- Strong advisory and
influencing skills, able to understand the needs of stakeholders whilst also
being able to challenge diplomatically
- An interest in all aspects of the Digital
Channels output, and be ready to develop new skills in video and audio editing
and social media posting to support the team and advise best practice.
- Confidence dealing with agencies (with support
from the Digital Channels Manager), ensuring that briefs are detailed and
specific, followed to the letter to ensure projects are delivered on time and
within budget.
- Engaged in the cutting edge of digital
communications in order to help drive innovation across all areas – identifying
new features and platforms to better engage with our audiences.
- Approachable and generous
with your knowledge – able to translate technical language – both for website
and when sharing analytics – into
practical terms for an internal audience, at all levels.
- Good planning, prioritisation
and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail including good
spelling, grammar and proofreading skills.
