for an enthusiastic, ambitious and talented lawyer to join our top-tier
Corporate team based in Bristol. You will work on interesting and often complex
national and international deals across a variety of sectors and work types,
including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, emerging companies and
venture capital, and equity capital markets. This is a fantastic opportunity to

The Bristol
Corporate team handles a broad and diverse range of corporate work, including
mergers and acquisitions, private equity, emerging companies and venture
capital, equity capital markets, joint ventures, corporate governance, and
corporate reorganisations and simplifications. We focus on acting for clients
driving transformational change across technology, media and
telecommunications, energy and energy transition, and life sciences and
healthcare, as well as financial services, mobility, retail and consumer,
infrastructure, and the built environment. A number of the partners in the team
are market leaders in these sectors and attract high profile and innovative
mandates.
We act for a
wide variety of clients, including large quoted companies, privately owned
businesses and their shareholders, private equity and venture capital firms,

The Corporate
Bristol team comprises 10 Partners, 5 Associate Directors, 6 Senior Associates,
2 Associates, 3 Trainee Solicitors, and 2 Solicitor Apprentices. We work
closely with Corporate colleagues in our Thames Valley and London offices,
forming a department of around 110 fee earners overall. We also collaborate
closely with specialist teams at the firm who support our transactions, and
with our network of international offices.

- Advising Brompton on a strategic
investment from Decathlon PULSE and BA Capital
- Advising NewSpring Capital on Bite
Investments' acquisition of Untap Software Ltd
- Acting for the shareholders on the sale of
Rockhold Asset Management to platform and wealth manager 7IM, and Lync
Wealth Management to an affiliate of 7IM (including in relation to a
complex demerger to facilitate the sale)
- Advising FTSE 250 global engineering group
Rotork plc on the sale of two of its subsidiaries – Rotork Midland Limited
in the UK and Rotork Instruments Italy Srl in Italy
- Acting for XPS Pensions Group plc on its
acquisition of actuarial consultancy, Austin Professional Resourcing
- Advising the shareholders of Bramley &
Gage on the acquisition of the company by Ellers Farm Distillery, which is
co-owned by comedian Ricky Gervais

all-share acquisition of W.H. Ireland Group plc

Nodor Group on an investment from private equity firm Inflexion
- Advising Synova on its investment in
Mecsia, a national provider of compliance-led, technical inspection and

- Advising Biffa Plc, the UK's leading
sustainable waste management business, on its acquisition of the remaining
50.1% stake in Esterform, one of the UK's largest producers of
polyethylene terephthalate preforms and bottles
- Advising HSBC on its investment in
FINBOURNE Technology, architects of an interconnected network of
functionality and data that enables the investment community to better
serve clients
- Acting for Octopus Money on its agreement
to acquire Virgin Money's investment business
- Acting for Vodafone on its acquisition of
Telekom Romania mobile
- Advising Foresight Environmental
Infrastructure (formerly JLEN) on its sale of 51% of a portfolio of six
gas-to-grid anaerobic digestion facilities to Future Biogas
- Advising Creo Medical Group, a medical
device company focused on the emerging field of surgical endoscopy and
quoted on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange, on fundraising and
the sale of its remaining stake in Creo Medical S.L.
- Advising the ACORN consortium (comprising
Kajima, the pan-European property investor, developer and asset manager,
Sacyr and Abrdn) on a joint venture with the Development Bank of Wales for
the development of the new Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff, Wales
- Advising ASX-listed Bravura Solutions on
its admission to AIM via the AIM Designated Market Route
