The Role
We have a new
opportunity for an experienced Residential Conveyancer / Conveyancing Executive
/ Chartered Legal Executive to join our Real Estate team in Bristol or Reading
on a permanent basis.
This is a
diverse and varied role, working across all areas of Plots conveyancing for
some of the UK's leading housebuilders. This is an exciting and challenging
position for an experienced conveyancer who enjoys working in a supportive
environment, for ambitious clients with high expectations. You will work
closely with our clients acting for them on the sale of their new build plots,
some of which will be using purchasing schemes, and carrying out a full range
of conveyancing requirements.
The Practice
Group
Our Real
Estate department provides legal services to clients on a range of matters,
from large land acquisition deals right through to plot sales. We advise on
residential development work, strategic land joint ventures and consortia
arrangements. Our strong reputation in the residential sector is based on many
years' experience advising residential developers and house-builders. Our
understanding of the market brings a depth of expertise, which makes us one of
the leading law firms in this field.
Our clients
are some of the UK's leading house-builders including Barratt Homes, Bloor
Homes, Vistry Partnership and Cotswold Homes.
The Team
You will be a
part of the Plots team, which sits within Real Estate and works closely with
other areas of the business. Alongside plot conveyancing, the team works on
site set up matters, section agreements, compliance certificates and deeds of
variation. The team is based both in Bristol and Reading and consists of 16
conveyancers with various levels of experience, and 9 administrative
assistants.
Technical
Skills and Experience
The successful
candidate will have experience as a Plots Sales or Residential Property
Conveyancer. Experience undertaking title investigation of purchased properties
is desirable but not essential.
You will also
have:
- Managed your own caseload with minimal
supervision.
- Experience working under pressure and to
tight deadlines, while maintaining great attention to detail.
- The ability to work with high volumes at
times, without compromising on service.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong
client relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, both
written and verbal.
- Good IT skills with the ability to produce
own work and use case management systems.
- High levels of commercial awareness;
keeping up to date and applying changes and developments in this area of
law.
