Osborne Clarke is a future-focused international law firm with a clear 2030 strategy. We’re growing our People Development function and looking for a Talent Development Manager, internally known as a People Development Manager to help our lawyers and Business Services teams deliver on our existing talent strategy.
You’ll work closely with partners, senior leaders and HR to translate business priorities into practical, commercially-focused development solutions that support high performance and career progression.
This is a permanent role that can be based out of our Bristol or London office, with some home working too, and we're happy to consider both full-time and part-time working patterns for this position.
Occasional travel to other UK offices will be required.
The role
- Act as a trusted adviser to Practice Group and/or Business Services leaders on development needs aligned to our 2030 strategy
- Use performance data, feedback and market insight to identify capability gaps and define clear development priorities
- Design and curate modern, blended learning (virtual, in-person and digital), including learning in the flow of work
- Support the creation of clear learning and career pathways to enable progression, succession and workforce planning
- Partner with internal experts and external providers to deliver high-quality, commercially relevant content
- Evaluate impact using qualitative and quantitative data and refine programmes accordingly
- Line manage and support People Development team members and lead key projects end-to-end
What we're looking for
- Strong experience in Learning & Development / Talent Development with a clear link to business performance
- Experience in a client-focused environment
- Proven ability to conduct development needs analysis and turn insight into measurable, high-impact interventions
- Track record of designing and delivering blended learning and in-the-flow-of-work support
- Confident facilitator, comfortable with audiences from early careers to senior managers/partners
- Commercial, data-led mindset with strong stakeholder management, project management and communication skills
- Line management experience
